Training

Confirmation of Booking
To confirm your training, you need to be a current Ocean Escape Member and your course fees need to be paid in full.  Once payment is received in full your course materials, equipment and training schedule will be allocated to you.

Booking Changes
Once you have booked and paid for your course you have committed to the dates scheduled to complete your open water dives. We appreciate that commitments can arise and you may need to change the date of your Open Water Dive weekend away. Ocean Escape will allow to to change the date of your weekend away once for no additional charge.

Every weekend you book on is taking the place of another student and the time of additional staff for the weekend; these are costs that Ocean Escape incurs even if you cannot make the weekend. If you cannot make the alternate date we will charge you an administration fee to book you on to the third date.

Medical Certificates
A current medical certificate, signed by a medical practitioner, is required for every student for each training course.  The medical certificate must be sited before any open water dive.  A medical certificate is valid for 12 months. For a copy of the medical form please contact your consultant. For information on terms and conditions if a medical certificate cannot be issued please see the training refund policy.

Refund Policy
Ocean Escape prides itself on customer service and the effort that is put in for the development and carry through of each training course. The effort required is a time consuming and costly process for the Ocean Escape team. It is for this reason that an administration fee of 15% of the course fee cannot be refunded, no matter the reason.

    1.      Failure to receive a medical certificate:

If for any reason the medical practitioner cannot grant you a medical certificate we are happy to refund costs that have not been incurred up to the date that the Ocean Escape Administration Office is notified of this.  We advise that you seek your medical certificate as early as possible, if you have any doubts that you may not pass we suggest you do this before booking on your dive course. Costs that may be incurred throughout the training course are the use of equipment, book and resources, pool session hire and instructor fees. Please note that the 15% administration fee applies to all training fee refunds.
    2.      Unable to Complete the Course
Once you have booked and paid for your course you have committed to the dates scheduled to complete your open water dives. We appreciate that commitments can arise and you may need to change the date of your Open Water Dive weekend away. You have the option to change the date of your weekend away once. Every weekend you book on is taking the place of another student and the time of additional staff for the weekend; these are costs that Ocean Escape incurs even if you cannot make the weekend. If you cannot make the alternate date we will charge you a 15% administration fee to book you on to the third date.
If you decide to relinquish your training at any point Ocean Escape will refund any costs that have not been incurred to date, less an administration fee.
